Planet Wild for business: 7 reasons to rewild with us

It’s easy to forget how beautiful our planet is when we are so focused on our working lives, but your business relies far more on a healthy planet than you might think. A wild and biodiverse planet is the foundation of all life on Earth, and we are losing it at an alarming rate — in fact, we are even living through an extinction event. In the last 50 years wildlife populations have declined by 69%, which has far-reaching consequences both for us and the planet. The question is, how can you run a business without a reliable water supply, stable supply chains, and a predictable climate? The answer is you can’t.

The planet is in trouble, and it needs your help.

This is all the result of unsustainable industry and growth. You’ll be hard-pressed to find an industry that doesn’t rely on the planet’s natural resources; clean water, healthy soil, raw materials — resources that are under a huge amount of strain from habitat loss, pollution, plastic waste, etc. Healthy ecosystems ensure these resources can remain available. Ultimately, without biodiversity, the long-term viability of our daily lives is impossible to maintain. This is why more direct investment is badly needed — and rewilding offers a possible solution.

Why Rewilding?

Rewilding allows nature to take care of itself through the reintroduction of lost keystone species, dam removal, reestablishing old growth forest, clearing ocean plastic, and so much more. When an ecosystem has the chance to recover, it usually will. Our planet's ability to heal itself makes rewilding such a powerful tool in the fight against habitat destruction and climate change.

All life on Earth needs biodiversity to survive.

With a little help from us, rewilding provides a progressive and holistic approach to conservation, where the biggest impact is created over time. Furthermore, increased investment in rewilding initiatives has multiple benefits for businesses, making it a win-win for the planet and your bottom line.

Why Planet Wild?

Planet Wild is an organization which partners with some of the most innovative environmental organizations around the world. Through our direct funding model, anyone can support grassroots projects that create real and lasting impact. By funding rewilding initiatives, your investment reaches communities and organizations doing the important work to protect endangered species, clean up our oceans, and rewild entire landscapes.

Planet Wild can put your contribution into grassroots action.

However, our mission is to engage as many groups as possible, which is why we believe businesses can make a powerful difference. Just 3% of global climate funding is used for nature protection, even though it provides up to one-third of the cost-effective climate mitigation needed by 2030 — all while safeguarding livelihoods, natural ecosystems, and biodiversity. Environmental stewardship is everyone’s responsibility, but the impact businesses can make far exceeds that of individuals.

7 reasons to support Planet Wild in 2025

Biodiversity isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s the key to our future. By partnering with Planet Wild, your contribution can fund direct action, engage communities around the world, and demonstrate to your clients and customers that you care about the planet.

Fund direct and meaningful action

First and foremost, by partnering with us you will support projects that help the planet get a little wilder. In the last year, Planet Wild has funded 12 incredible missions, and here are just a few highlights:

These are just some of the projects individual Planet Wild members have funded, and every month we add a new project — imagine what we could accomplish with your company’s backing.

Support communities around the world

Planet Wild has traveled from Germany to Vietnam, Kenya to Australia to work with some of the most innovative communities and organizations around the world. These include Kenya’s Maasai, who found that by digging half-moon-shaped ‘smiles’ into the arid earth, they could collect more rain water and create healthy soil. It also includes guerilla firefighting groups in northern Sicily, who have taken it upon themselves to tackle wildfires in their region. Not only does your contribution bring back nature, but it supports the communities on the frontline.

Fulfil your ESGs

Help your business become part of the solution.

Partnering with Planet Wild will contribute to your Environmental, Social, and Governance commitments (ESGs). ESG strategies help businesses reach net-zero goals by supporting environmental efforts. By looking at how a company handles risks and opportunities beyond just profits, investors can evaluate the company's impact on nature and society, as well as its financial success. This creates more transparency, allowing investors to confidently back businesses that match their values.

Support the fastest growing nature channel on YouTube

Planet Wild is currently the fastest growing nature organization on YouTube, with over 16 million views and 245,000 subscribers in just 2 years. The key to our success is storytelling. Every month we send our team out into the field to film the work of these grassroots pioneers. Since we began our journey in 2023, Planet Wild now reaches more people organically than Greenpeace and WWF combined.

Get in front of our community

Planet Wild now has an engaged community of almost 2000 nature-lovers on Discord, 11,500+ monthly contributors, and 240,000+ YouTube subscribers. Your brand can be part of this engaged community, and reach a consumer base that cares deeply about our planet and values where they spend their money.

Complete transparency

We make sure you know exactly where your contribution is going.

Planet Wild offers our partners and monthly contributors complete transparency from the very start. 85% of the funds are spent to protect endangered species, protect oceans, and rewild forests, and spread awareness. The remaining 15% fund our operations and keep the lights on in our Berlin office. Once a year, we will share our latest financial report, so you can deep dive into where your money has been spent.

Make a real and tangible difference

Support communities on the front lines of nature protection.

Every month we release a new video showcasing the stories of organizations on the frontline of nature protection. You can be part of it through brand partnerships, corporate membership, shop integrations, one-off campaigns, or you can even fund a brand new mission, which puts your company, startup, or organization on the frontline of environmental action.

What do we offer?

There are three key ways businesses can become part of the Planet Wild mission.

  1. Corporate Membership: Companies and their employees can become Planet Wild members, support our missions each month.
  2. Mission Partners: Your brand can support or sponsor a whole mission, getting your company right in front of the Planet Wild community.
  3. Shop integrations: You can make a commitment to give a small percentage of your sales to rewilding projects around the world, or by asking customers the option to add a few more $$ to their purchase for nature.
